Black for now Mike. Still trying to figure out what my colors are going to be long term. Thought I knew, but times changed
UPDATE 1/5/14: Two steps back... Tore the front clip back down and pulled the motor. Couple of reasons....pulling the Edelbrock MPFI to sell (going with another system) and putting goodies from Xmas on/in.
Edelbrock dual plane intake, Comp aluminum roller rockers, Lunati cam
New cam is a bit "bigger" than the one in it

That'll wake it up a bit.

Yeah, the flooring is really nice. It's got a texture in it too. PO didn't use the flakes. We'll see how it holds up.

Seems to be a number of "nothing to update" updates lately, so here's mine... Got the cam degreed today, but forgot to take a pic of us doing it
FAST kit is still backordered. It's supposed to ship out this week some 5 weeks after I placed the order with Summit. Annnnnddd between the new cam and roller rockers, my pushrods are now too short. Time to hit up Summit...

Small update...a little progress. Spent a little time tonight putting new parts on the engine. Got the roller rockers on and set the lash on the pushrods. Buttoned up the Edelbrock dual plane intake and set the valve covers in place.
Now just need to figure out what to do about the EFI...

The motor looks great!
Just curious, why did you decide to go with a different fuel injection? Did you have issues with the Edelbrock MPFI?
Sucks about the FAST kit being back-ordered....

The Edelbrock system was going to be more work to get setup than I really want to do. Plus it's an early system. The self-learning kits have advanced considerably and are cleaner on the install. At the end of the day, simplicity tipped the scale.
UPDATE 4/21/14: Got the motor back in the truck and the accessories mounted. And for those that hadn't seen, FAST is in the house, or I guess the garage.
Dropped on the throttle body. This thing is dead sexy if I do say so myself. Added the throttle cable bracket and set the TV cable on the tranny.
Mounted up the regulator. The pressure gauge (not shown) is a little closer to the frame than I'd like, need to tweak it a bit.
Plumbing is almost done. Changing out my supply line to -6 from -8 next. Waiting on parts from Summit. Apparently sitting on the curb doesn't make Mr. Brown show up any sooner.
