At this point: a small amount of plumbing, electrical (new gauges, EFI wiring, switch panel, distributor and CD box, PO cleanup), e-brake, and exhaust. The electrical is the big task at this point.
 
5/11/14 - Made the move to the Driveway. Figured it was time to hang out with the big kids.

Plumbing and fuel system are done. Got all my -AN hoses built and run, finally.

Put the front fenders back on. Still need to shim them. But want them in place for the next big phase....wiring. Finished out the evening by wiping 5 years of dust off the engine and windshield. Looks weird being able to see thru the windshield again :doah:

Site note... Starting the slow process of moving all my pics over Photobucket. Been hosting them on a local 4x4 site. But I'm paranoid about the site going down.

It's coming along Paul. Nowhere near as fast as I'd like. Don't we all have that problem, though?

Yeah Mike. 5 years. Hard to believe. Personal life put the rig on hold for a long time. Massive scope creep didn't help at all.

No engine noises :haha: Too much junk piled up in the front seats. That's next.
 
this seems to be the popular place to hang out now...so much traffic going on here!

'78 3/4 ton front calipers all the way around. The prop valve is a Summit adjustable one. It should let me dial in the front rear bias pretty cleanly.

Once I got the hang of it, they started going pretty smooth. Can't tell in the pics, but even with an aluminum wrench and aluminum vise jaws, the hose ends still got scuffs in the anodizing :dunno: They still look cool though.
 
5/23/14 - And the electrical work begins... This guy showed up today. 3mm aluminum panel

Pulled out the contura switches that showed up too and loaded them up.

Over the weekend will get the panel mounted and start to work thru the wiring mess of the engine bay harness the PO left me.
 
They spelled COMPRESSOR wrong.........

I never talked to Comp tech support when I picked out the first cam. Went purely off what CamQuest recommended. Knew I was going to go EFI...but didn't know at the time that Comp's "EFI Friendly" cam was assuming a stock computer. Cam specs were just a little bigger than stock.

So, short answer: did more homework, talked to Comp and Lunati tech support, and went bigger.
 
5/26/14 - Memorial Day update - Taking a break for lunch and posting up a little progress..

Got the switch panel set in place. Switches came out a little close to the trim, but no interference.

Was lazy this morning and decided to tackle the gauge cluster. MAD PROPS to JJ (Ion). Harness is super clean and well done.

I didn't think the tranny could handle the extra HP white face gauges add.
 
5/26/14 - Dinner break. Fought with the oil pressure sender most of the afternoon. Where to put it, would it fit, etc. Think I have it figured out now. :doah:

Moved on. Stabbed in the FAST dual sync distributor. Thing is TALL. Had to take the cap and rotor off, and it still barely cleared the top of the firewall dish.
