72 k5 diesel swap

At the moment i have a gas engine and would like to switch it over to a diesel for the power and mileage, I already know the parts i need to get but i don't know where to find them or what modifications i need to do. I want a 2005 duramax engine and im gonna need a 6 speed allison transmission I also need an axle with differential on the driver side and correct me if I'm wrong but i think i also need a body lift to create room? can anybody help?

i would ask to get this moved to the garage, youll get more help in there since this is more for builds. theres a couple people who have done this though

And moved...once you start pulling wrenches on this we can move it back. For now it appears to be a fact finding mission rather than a build thread...so Garage it is.
