It's plenty bad enough but it Could have been much worse Greg. Glad your on the mend and things are looking UP!
In the meantime just think if you don't have your good health everything just don't matter as much.
Get well and be thankful your still "young" enough to heal up completely!

You should be thankful your so lucky!

That could have been way worse.
One of my best freinds dad fell off a porch onto concrete, he died instantly!

Just unlucky landing I guess!

Glad you're Ok! :thumb:

Maybe some of those foam garage floor tiles might be nice on the feet and a good preventative measure for the future?

Prolly pretty glad you don't have 12 foot ceilings huh? :ignore:

For the 1st time in my life! :)

Dunno... The idea that I'll be standing in that mezzanine a lot isn't realistic. Maybe that carpet saved me a little, but I don't recall anything about the actual slip or fall.... It almost seems safer to keep the truck parked under that area and just strap some plywood to the top of the rollcage and turn it into a huge scaffold!

Now before you get back into the routine of things in the garage and on the truck, write me into your will! Something along the lines of leaving the truck to me! :thumb:

On a lighter note, just be glad you got away with the injuries you have. It could have been worse. A lot worse. Just rest up some more and don't overdo or rush it.

Being somewhat more serious now, I like your insulation idea. It's not as sexy as building custom high 9's...but when you spend as much time in there as you do, comfort no matter the season is huge!!

I hope your wife isn't freaked out about you working in there now. As we've all mentioned many times here, you were very lucky to "walk away" with the injuries you got. Much like when Mike decided to try his hand at free flight. I hope you heal quick, and maybe stop pushing yourself quite so hard when you are in there. Fatigue will kill you eventually.

Guess you better figure out how to install one of those chairs that carries you up and down the stairs.. HA!

Get well.
And don't forget the Life Alert button/necklace thingie, too!

I'm a little disappointed that nobody commented on my Callahan Auto t-shirt... :dunno:

That was one of my favorite Christmas presents this year. :)

I'm more disappointed that there's no chalk or tape outline on the floor of where you were sprawled out.

It continues to freak me out that I have no idea where I fell or how I landed... A couple days later when I limped out into the garage, I saw that large aluminum ladder still toppled over at a weird angle and the whole scene looked foreign to me... Like someone else had been in there messing things up while I was away.

I guess I could try to do a nice epoxy floor paint with a fun embedded white outline on my crumpled body as an inlay, but the location and position would be a wild guess.

Wild guess or not, you should definitely do this. :saweet:

Bwahahahaha :haha:

Didn't even know they made those shirts! I'll have to get one!

You said you are behind at work. What do you do for a living?

Glad you are on the mend. Scary stuff!

I'm sure this no computer TV or book time allowed your mind to race even more. Probably would have been better to zone out watching Tommy boy or something you know by heart!
