No. You need a knife to cut through Houston's air. If you can handle the heat, Austin/Central Texas is just fine.

On the plus side afa build schedule goes, build season is year round. No more too cold or too wet to build!
Good to know, I've only been to Dallas outside of Houston and it was fine.
How did Grampa, Grandma and Danger take the news. I know Kelly has been on your side, but the others had to be tough?
We are working through it now... that's the hardest part of the process for sure.

On a side note. If you buy a place with more land, you can build a go cart track for Danger. That way you don't need to worry about neighborhood kids.... they'll all be at your house anyways. Why?

Having recently moved away from my friends and family, I can relate. Funny when I lived 20 minutes from my Mom I'd see her every now and then plus holidays. Now that we're a thousand miles away she comes here twice a year for a week or two at a time. Family finds a way to make things work in my experience. I'm sure you already found that when you moved from NorCal to NH though.

Welcome to Texas! The Austin area is growing at an incredible rate but folks move in and out so hopefully you can find a nice home there or the surrounding suburbs. Austin has a rep as the most liberal city in the state , having a new resident with a Big block, huge tired, fire breathing 4x4 will certainly help butch the place up some.

My mom is an Austin realtor who knows what people like us need in a house. Pm me if you need help. We build transmissions locally just an hour South in new braunfels. Central Texas has it all. You're not from Texas, but Texas wants you anyway.

Yuck. I just moved from 90 mi west of dallas back home to NH. I dont envy the moving. It's a dry heat in TX. Hahaha just kidding. I was there for 3 summers. That was 3 too many. The winters are nice though. I'd love to check out the blazer before you leave.

Aw man, what's wrong with a little moisture in the air?
You literally feel like your swimming with your clothes on.
Growing up in the Midwest I thought we had it bad.
Especially in the late summer when the corn is fully grown.
I heard once that a single corn plant can put out as much as a gallon of water in the atmosphere per day.
Not sure how true that is but think of the thousands of acres...
Then I went to Houston. Turns out I had never felt real humidity.

My only advice would be to Buy a place in the country and let the little one play. Nothing beats growing up in the country.
Austin is nice though. It's 200 miles from the coast. Much different than houston. Don't go to Lubbock though. Wind will blow the tattoo right off your arm.
