With the "instant gratification" of the internet de-sensitizing everyone to the actual work involved to accomplish big things, it's easy to forget how far things have come since the relocation to Texas.

Got the 2nd Garage Door opener installed tonight..... It's been sitting in a box (brand new!) since March 2018.

Putting the old toolboxes up for sale on Craigslist..... it's an oddly bittersweet moment, actually. Part of the MAW build that evolved with me over the last 11 years of the build is leaving the shop.

But at least I had the foresight to put all the fun stickers onto magnetic sheet material before putting them on the toolbox..... so I was able to re-claim them and will redeploy on my new cabinetry!!!

Are you guys seeing all the pics? All the photos look fine when I preview the post, but when it gets posted at least 3 of the photos show as broken links....

Tried a few different methods but can’t seem to find a method that works 100% of the time. Not sure if it’s a Photobucket issue or a CK5 one? :dunno:

I get 3 broken links in post 7801 and tiny thumbnail pic in 7802

Damn. That’s what I was afraid of....

I tried to paste the links directly into the post, then I tried the direct link path and used the “photograph” icon in the new post toolbar...to insert it there. I also tried pasting the thumbnail link from PB as a last resort.

Seems like there is some kind of hidden character buried in the PB link that screws up the syntax...

Sometimes photos work, sometimes they don’t. No apparent logic, I use the same process 6 times on a row and at least one photo link ends up broken.

:angry1:

Looks like there is a "%" percent in your link that may be causing problems?

I think that’s a by-product of Apple file system not supporting the apostrophe or “space” character in a pathname?

Could be, I still to this day never name a file with a space in it.

I wish I had heard that foresight before now. Would have been a good idea for me to copy.

I think that's gone beyond garage or shop, it's more into man-cave. Almost too nice to do real work in there. Kinda looks like a studio or something. Esp w/ the can lights.

You’ve got a new house and s new garage. Start fresh with this new knowledge and take it #FORWARD

:)

This is why I hung up a thin 4x8 sheet of plywood (painted tan) in my shop to put stickers on.

Reusable speed stickers?

***Mind blown***

This thread is gold for build knowledge and car guy life hacks.

Keep doing what you are doing Greg. You are killing it at whatever you do.

Greg,

FYI: There’s a few other pictures with bad links too. May 30 post is one of them. It looks like it was cabinet pictures which is what I was after.

Yeah, I’ve been fighting PB for a little more than a month now...

If I get some time I will try creating a new simple-name subfolder on PB (no spaces) and see if those links can be improved and repaired

Greg you have fantastic creative skills in every thing you approach. The garage is fantastic and your nail bending skills are equal to @NorCal69. We know you will soon be back to posting orange buckets again. Carry on and I know how time consuming it is to remodel.

It sounds like it's time to remind everyone where the priority MAW Build currently fits in the context of my non-internet "real life"

My family comes first these days... and I make no apologies for that. Sunday's are occasionally "garage days" but most other times they are spent entertaining an 8-year old boy at the driving range, rock climbing events or riding bikes, etc.

My weekday job demands 60 hours a week from me on a consistent basis. If I'm home in time, it's dinner with the family... knock out a few small chores and read to Charlie for a while before his bedtime.

Don’t let comments get on your nerves, family always comes first. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work from home for my sons entire life, and i cant tell you how fast it has gone. He will be gone to college in two years, and it seems like just yesterday that he was your sons age. You will never get the years back. Screw the internet posts, spend the time with him.

I once read that you will spend half the total time you ever have (lifetime) with your kids by the time they are 10, dont waste it worrying about keeping “followers” satisfied. I basically only check in here to see how far along the blazer is, and i would still tell you to not worry about keeping me or anyone else up to date, do what’s important to you.

You seem quite capable of managing your time, but for anyone else following along, spend time with your kids. Because of my odd work schedule, i have always been the dad who ended up being in charge or the leader of my sons activities, ie baseball, soccer, scouts, etc. [rant on]I will get on my soapbox and say that the number one problem with young boys today is they dont have enough good male influence. Lots from divorce situations barely know an adult man. It is a myth that “quality” time makes up for “quantity” time. Boys learn to be good men from good men, not their potentially goofy school teacher or TV[rant off]

My question about your problem is...
WHY THE **** ARE STILL ON PHOTOBUCKET?

I know it would've been a pain in the ass to move all your photos. I'm surprised they still in business, but when are going to pull their next stunt for more money?

Read back further and you'll find the answer. It's been covered. Can you imagine the work needed to fix what would turn into broken links for EVERY pic in this 300+ page thread?

Let the man do his thing. He's got only a million other things going on and the last thing he needs is more people whining over stuff like this. He'll just pull the plug on the whole thing. Don't be that guy that causes him to pull it.
