72 Scout dana 44 3.73 R&P fit in 73 k5 front end?

Will 72 Scout dana 44 3.73 ring and pinion fit in 73 k5 front end? Is the dana 44 for both the 72 Scout and front end of 73 blazer the same? What is the difference between standard and reverse rotation? What is needed for the front end of the k5? Is the ring, pinion, and carrier the same for a dana 44 rear and front? Or is there such a thing as a dana 44 rear end? Basically, is the ring and pinion for any dana 44 universal, it will fit in any front or rear end regardless of make of vehicle? Appreciate some help with my education on dana 44's. Thanks

Just not 100% sure as to hp vs lp

If the gears are not the proper rotation they will not get adiquit oil.

hp- high pinion lp- low pinion

A D44 is a D44 as far as gears go (I'm pretty sure anyways) but a high pinion's reverse rotation gears are not the same as a standard pinion's normal rotation gears.

Thanks but I am no where near being a supervisor (I am only 3 years out of tech school) and need something that I don't have to move to.
