'73 1ton K5- NorCal Budget Build. My first trail Break

Looks like everything is moving pretty nice...

The last vid sounds like the front d-line is hitting the cross member...
 
It's amazing how much easier the same obstacles look now with the huge tires and better suspension than they did back at the beginning of your thread. I see a doubler in your future. And some pics from the Rubicon. Driving over any Jeeps that are blocking the trail...
 
Truck looks awesome man and seems to be working great... Keep it up... Any breakage yet on the 42's?

i had an opporitunity to break, least it felt like it.

big boulder on right side with flat face about 4ft tall, small bolder on left with hole after.


pass tire was biting rock and pulling down, driver rock was gripping and pulling down as well, im thinking if i kept in it i would have broke an outer, but who knows maybe i was just being a pussy

I have pushed it pretty hard with my 42s. Even when they were on my blazer (73) I pushed em pretty hard. When stuff gets bound up is when you break. If your tires are rubbing body hard and you are trying to go forward you will break.

I feel ya there bro.$$$ My buddy wants to go to Big Bear & I used the same excuse.
Let's meet 1/2 way.
 
I use less gas towing with my Tundra than I do if I drive JIMMY to the trail.
