Anybody got a photo of an original 1974 windshield washer bottle and bracket? The brackets I see online just don't look right. :dunno:

Yeah no bracket but if you don't have the correct fender on there its going to have 2 threaded inserts for the later bottle iirc.

That's what I got...remember that fender came off a Burb...must of been newer.

So there was no bracket at all for the 73-75? Just hang it in the opening in the fender?

Yes just did in the cut out like JB says. I looked for my original bottle last night but didn't find. I have the 2 bolt bottle on my aftermarket fender, Yuk.

I wish that triangle were a "knock-out"...I'd do that...but I ain't cutting on it now.

Nothing wrong with the bolt-on bottle...it's just that I've so far taken the factory road with everything...so it's "might as well" try to do the same now...or at least compromise and make it look that way.

I bought a factory NOS bottle so I have that already. I just need to mount it so it looks somewhat correct

Only you will know mostly, keep an eye out for a good usable fender that you can fix and paint then swap it out later if it bothers you.
Caught me by surprise now that I recall but that was about 18 years ago.

If I have to make a bracket that uses the existing bolt holes and has a "V" shape to hold the bottle, I can live with that

Too bad you don't have the old fender that you could cut out the section and make a bracket out of that.

I usually don't get rid of anything...not sure why or what I did with those :dunno:

Did those bottles have any issues with "jumping out of the hole" when driving on bumpy roads

I never had any problems with the one on my blazer coming loose on bumpy roads .

Mine never did either and it was wheeled pretty hard years ago. That bottom little piece helps.

A quick off topic question...a couple years ago I let a set of NOS Cheyenne badges go on eBay because they went up to $200...you saw them also.

Another set has come up...I am trying to make the decision if it is worth it for the new in the box emblems

He's asking 175 buy now I think without looking. If you want them they are becoming really hard to find I would get them if u can. I saw them but didn't really look at them close, I'm not after them.

Not too long ago there was a set of our fender emblems on eBay for 1 day and the guy back door them , I had a couple of emails back and forth telling him what I thought so if you want them get them. Too hard to make them look good again.

Look at them closely and tell me if you think they have been repainted. There are splotched in the red on the left one...and it doesn't look like flat paint...they look a little too glossy...what do you think?
