I'd like to replace my current sliding window. The one i have has an aluminum type frame around the glass that has a small chunk missing at an edge.

The other day i saw another truck that had a slider that had almost no border/frame and sat almost flush with the sheetmetal cab. It looked like it could have been a factory install....very nice. Couldn't ask since i was at a traffic light and the other truck made a turn and got out of sight before i could get across the lanes to follow and ask.

Anyone know who might make/sell the "flush mount" slider? Thanks

I've been keeping an eye on them at the junkyard and it seems like there are a couple different types.

I believe there are two types. I just had a slider installed a few weeks back and the glass shop had me describe the slider I had so he could bring the correct seal for it.

I'll have to check with my glass guy....see what we can come up with. Thanks

the 84/85 up OEM had black aluminum and the perimeter frame was completely within the gasket. The gasket actually had a 1/2"+ channel so the gasket stuck out from the cab some. Can send images if you need.
