73-91 2WD same wheel offset as 4WD?

Said another way, can I use 8-lug wheels from a similar-year 4WD on a 2WD or vice versa?

I seem to recall that the 88+ IFS trucks have different offset or backspacing or whatever you call it, than the old solid axle stuff.

Question is, do the old IFS trucks also require weird offset?

I believe its a "one size fits all" thing for 8 lug wheels /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
