This has been about a 6-7 year project. It started as a bone stock 73 Dart Sport, Slant 6 with a three speed, you know typical old lady car.
Now it's blown 493ci (stroked 440) that'll be running E85. Should make 900+ HP. Car has a 4link, fully tubed, 12 point cage, 4 wheel manual disc brakes, manual steering. Just your average weekend cruiser.

The 70-72 front end is my favorite. I had a '72 Swinger I still miss!

Specs on your ride?

Never mind, I see you added that already!

That is bada$$ bring it to Famoso speedway here in Bakersfield. That looks like a fun ride!!!!!

I plan on running it @ Bakersfield when I get it drivable. When I get extra time I plan to install the parts I already have but no spending any money on it until after BlazerBash.

diggin that Chris...looks like a bucket ful o fun!

Cool car, love the mopars, I help my buddy work on his 73 dart sport. His is a 340/727 car with a sunroof, primer gray, lots of goodies...Doing rear quarters right now, so its stuck in the garage.

oh good greif that is awesome!

When you finish it Chris I am going to look you up and you will have to take me for a ride :D:D

one day I'll go back... first car I bought was a 72 Gold Duster..

I need to build another Cuda or Challenger before I die...

try to update this now and than, always love to watch a Mopar build...

Sorry for resurrecting this thread - but yes, Mopars are good to go. Here are a few I owned in the late 80's (but note the orginal '86 k5 in the background) I still have it! BTW: the '71 Cuda was used for interior shots in Phantasm II since it had a pistol grip shifter.

Well finally dug it out of storage and it's home to get running and driving.

Pulled inner fenderwells, torsion bar suspension, and factory steering. Installed a HemiDenny coilover frontend with rack and pinion steering.
