73 K20....crossmember time

I have to take off a bunch of material on one side of this. These are whats used to spread the load on the rear part of the cage. Not at all surprised, once again something needs to be reworked.

Pulled the passenger a pillar out. It needs another cut to clear the interior plate. That's my doing. It's also notched off center so I have to grind it...not my doing.

I got the uprights of the cage bolted into the seatbelt deals. This will help keep everything from getting out of whack when I make the final roof cut. At this point everything is bolted in and where I want it. It would be a real pia if I got it all done and the damn roof would fit. Get out the ballpeen.

Damn, I admire your tenacity. :waytogo: No way I have the balls to cut the top of the cab off.

Haha why thank you!

It's only because I know what lies ahead for this truck!

It's definitely a little freaky but I think I'll be ableaving to make it look like it never happened. At least if I didn't point it out.

I actually feel really good about this. It totally killed my progress on the cage a while back because I couldn't get it to work right. Now it has no choice but to work!

I guess you have to decide floor or roof.. I actually wrote the sequence out on paper so I could assemble my cage without cutting the roof. But I don't have a cab wall in my way.. I'm sure it'll be great once doneski

Yeah the blazer was easy but I didn't build that cage.

This has been a real pain but I still maintain that exos aren't really my things.

I would really like to cut the floor out of this thing at some point. I miss the easy to deal with flat floor of the blazer.

you kept those holes in the dash for the A-pillar tight. Are you not running a dash cover?
