73 K20....crossmember time

Started working on the back end of the crossmember. Some goofy angles gave me hell...adapting to a wonky frame isnt easy. Finally got it the way i wanted ... just need to weld the other side in tomorrow. I think ill add 2 ladder bars and some gussets and call it done. Maybe 4 is too much. Meh.

I also came to the realization that i probably need a longer shifter cable for the blackbox. Its right in the way of the rear flange and is too stiff to tuck it out of the way without causing some issue down the road.

Burned it all in. One step closer. I need a few more gussets from rough stuff. Does anyone think ladder bars between the two runs would be overkill? Damn thing is heavy lol.

Might be overkill, but it would still be dead. I'd be more worried about the extra iron being in your way for service than anything, so consider that

Finally finished this crossmember. Just need to match drill the frame, paint it and bolt it in. Other then that im going to drain the coolant, shit can the core support and throw away the radiator. Round headlights and the eastwood radiator/ fan setup coming soon.

While doing my sliders, I counted 6 dings in the cross members, so that 90* edge makes me think it will be looking for a rock to catch

Drained the radiator and got the front core on its way to the dumps. Radiator is getting tossed along with the fan set up. New setup will be way more efficient. Also had a shitty mechanical temp gauge but the fitech is definitely more accurate so im shit canning that too.
