74’ Cheyenne C10/K30

Picked up the 1974 Cheyenne/10 C10 last night. Truck is 1 owner and super complete. It’s a little crusty and rusty but I needed a driver quality beater

Will be swapping this body onto this K30 frame

K30. This was originally a K30 tow truck that @Chinahands back halfed, 63” rear springs, 52” front springs added with b-52 kit. Welded Dana 60, 1150 AAM rear, G80 and disc. PSC hydro assist setup. Should be a fun rig when done.

Concern was the 2wd trans tunnel. Just about cut it out. Decided against and everything fit like a glove. Added 1” hockey pucks as body lift and with the k30 having a taller frame the driveline sits down a little lower. Got lucky

Also had to convert the truck to hydraulic 4 speed. Swapped the the pedal assembly from k30

doing the hydro clutch swap my self . removed auto pedal tonight . install hydro in the am .

Next piece of the puzzle. Bed will be shortened to match wheel base. 5-6” off the front and rear. Should still be about 7ft bed when done.
