74’ Cheyenne C10/K30

Never believed in a "budget" build what you want. No matter what it cost. Yolo.

I am building my dump truck under a "budget" basically just meaning I won't use many expensive parts. I.e. aftermarket parts vs NOS, or a cheaper paint then a PPG product. Things like that.

The 72 has a YOLO budget. That’s why this one needs a Realistic budget

Why do unnecessary things to have a truck that sits?

Budget builds that are used are much better.

Because not everyone wants to drive a shitbox, taking a little extra time and effort to make it how you want it is worth it .

I’d would rather take a little longer and have it right then to get “instant gratification “ and not be happy with it . And eventually loose interest in it.

I’m all about beater rigs , but slap shit together with whatever junk you have laying around just for the sake of saying it’s running........ I’ll pass.

So how does not putting a thumper cam in my rock crawler/daily beater classify as slapping shit together?!?

Build it how you want it, that’s what I’m saying. If you don’t want a cam in it don’t put one in it . But if you do , just wait a little longer until you can afford to do it. The trucks runs now with the small block so you could wait a little longer to LS swap if you wanted to put the cam rather then do it in the truck later on when you have to pull the radiator and all the other BS .

Don’t really care if this truck has a cam or not. It’s $300 cam, I’d buy one if I cared enough. Budget build and not being able to afford parts we two different scenarios.......

Dude , I agree with you. I’m saying build it how you want. If you want a stock motor in it then that’s what you want . I get that .
