I hope it's ok to post this here instead of in the wanted section because it isn't a specific request.
You all know what my rig is with the attempt at factory restoration of my 1974 Blazer.

Does anyone out in CK5 universe have any stock 73 or 74 things? I don't need or want everything, but there may be some parts that I don't have that I would like to have original parts and you guys may have them laying around and forgot about. One thing comes to mind like the door sill piece at the rear off each side.

Anyway, this is a request born out of frustration because of finding nothing left in the parts yards near me.

What would work for me is if you run across anything just post example "hey I got a set of original 1974 vent knobs if you are interested".

I recently got a set of oem fender braces from a CK5 member...just small stuff like that makes a difference to me in keeping it original.

Even photos of completely as is original stickers and sticker placement are valued, related literature, magazines, manuals..etc...

P.S. I am now interested in planning a trip to some of the large parts yards out west and / or swap meets where I can still browse and see square body parts.

another dead thread...this is what I am talking about...there's nobody here anymore

You may have better luck for old factory parts over at 67-72. Those guys are more about factory rebuilds and period correct parts. Not discounting this place any....just two different crowds.

FWIW: Those door pads look like the same ones on my 70 Jimmy. I picked up a couple pairs on the other site.

73-75 have quite a bit of uniqueness in a few things and are really hard to find Nos.

Rear carpet trim from 73 to 91 Blazers are all but extinct, imagine just parts for 73-75 full verts only.

Those rear curved sill plates were from 73-77 and dont come around often especially like new condition.

Thanks, it looks like they do...I'e been there before but forgot about it.

Do you have a zoomed out photo of where those alignment shims go on a 73-75 door? I want to pickup some for my conversion truck, but haven't seen any good pics of what's there.

Thanks

Im sure I do, I'll have to search...will post up a little later

I'm no help. The door alignment pads, I want to keep for myself. The door still plates, I don't know what I did with mine. I maybe threw those away. If I did have those, its probably be in the same shape as yours.
Have you looked into places that specialize in restoring trim pieces?

I am guessing those are all the same for pickups, blazers, jimmy, etc...guess I'll be looking at the pickups again

I've got a very lightly modified / updated 73 Jimmy. I'm not selling any parts or anything, but I'm happy to take pictures of things that might be useful to you if you let me know what you're looking for.

These parts only came on the blazer. The blazer is convertible and GM use those pieces for extra support for the door.
Strangely enough GM use those pieces on first Gen blazers too.

did they stop using them in 1976 with the 3rd Gen Blazers?
