Well nothing new to update, I just wanna go out wheelin. I am currently between job/careers waiting to start the CHP academy next month so I want to keep the jimmy in good running condition until I'm through the academy hopefully. I did take it down the road the other day to a friends who just picked up a 73 camper special and stopped for some poser pictures on the way. We also went to the metalcloak stampede yesterday for some awesome racing! It rained all morning/day and the cars were getting covered in mud! Some of the racers made custom sheet metal windshields to help deflect some

In the garage, dry, working on my buddies truck :D

There's another race later at prairie city right?

Nice, was that Daves blazer? I'm not sure I think so maybe 2 more races

Yeah that's daves truck. Still a few front suspension bugs to get sorted but it's getting close to trail ready.

Just looked at the schedule and there isn't a second event at prarie city but there's an event in Reno in October.

I just want you to know that I just re-read your thread, and I am now inspired to run some 42 iroks.....stickies.

Got the go-ahead from the wife to buy them at the end of the year, and I know a interco dealer.

So overall, how do you like them as a non-sticky? I used to run them as a 36 years ago, and they seemed to do pretty good.

Winning!
They perform great, the biggest draw back for me is that I drive it to the trails and back which I feel like wears them out a bit. On the trail I'll run them at about 8psi and they work great. The rubber on mine feel super soft so I can't imagine what the stickies would be like

Well I traded my spare frame for 2 pairs of bilstein 7100 resi 14" shocks. Does anyone have experience with them? they will be too long for my rear shocks but if I add hoops to the front they should work. I believe I will need to get them revalved as they are 255/70
