75 K-5 5.3 LS transplant [with pics]

They change from year to year. I swapped a tach dash intro my 1990 K5 from a 1977 K20, and the pin outs were not all the same, I had to repin my connector.

I just found and eliminated an annoying squeak thats plagued me for years.
That hood pin that mounts on the cowling behind the hinges has been rubbing on the hoodEverytime Ihit a pebble in the road that sucker would churp. Could not locate the noise for a long time,,,,,,,UNTIL NOW!!
Yes, I know what your gonna say,,,,now I can consentrate on a different noise:doah:

How did you damage your original D44 housing?

Did it hit the engine cross member?

If you had to do it all over again, would you have gone a different route on the cross member?
