I found someone selling 3/4 ton axles and was wondering about all the hidden costs .Also could i just buy 15'' rims with 8 lug patern and throw my old 35s on. Also will 3/4 tonn axles make much of a diff on fuel economy and will it be fine keeping the 4:10 ratio i have a 700-r4 and 350 with edelbrock performer manifold and 600 cfm carb 85 blazer.

I paid $191 for a set of 15x10 from 4WPW, 20 for the u-joint.
and a About $10 in grinding disks for the front calipers and backing plates.
4:10's will be good to go with 35's. But with an r4 tranny 4:56's would be ideal.
It took me one weekend to do my swap by myself outside in the gravel.

You will have to grind down the front calipers a bit to clear the 15" wheel. Other than that, it's not too difficult.
