hopefully getting a carb for it tonight. gonna do oil priming, set the valves, hook up the ignition and potentially get it fired on sunday.
hope an pray.

You got married? Nice. congrats! Now get to work. I will be swapping axles in about two weeks. So Plan a trip if you want my D44.

yeah. 2 weeks ago now.
and ok. we'll ahve to see how reliable my jimmy will be when it runs. cuz that will be the only i have to drive down there. lol
unless we load it in the back of my 300. lol

Working on it today. Actually had the engine turn itself over bumpin the starter to find TDC. Was a very positive thing to see.

Well after a 12 hour day. We got nothing. Couldn't get it to catch. So we are checking the timing set as well as replacin the balancer cuz it looks like it spun on itself. Need to pop off the balancer, check the timing/ cam for TDC, then reinstall the front pieces. Ugh. Another weekend done and gone.

Atleast we got the carb, plugs, wires , dizzy set up.

Reset the Cam timing (looked like I was 2 teeth off). New balancer that isn't so toast. And bottom end is all back together. Still couldn't get it to fire. Almost caught a couple of times but nothing firm. Gonna get some new ignition pieces and try again on Saturday.

You're probaly 180 degrees out. Turn the works to the TDC mark, pull the dist out and turn it 180 degrees and drop it back in.

It's been said, but that color scheme is nice on the engine. Mine however is smogable, so ugly black completely over it will be my scheme. Can't wait to wheel!!!!

I kno. I'm so excited to just be able to move the truck and get some dirt on it. ITs been to long since I been offroad. Hope it damn fires soon.

I would like to offer to come up to help get this thing going for you.

It is frustrating I bet, so let me know what this weekend looks like for you and Jeff and I might be able to come up and help.

Guess I should ask Jeff if he could go first...... Ha
