damn that sounds like an offer! cant this weekend though! family is coming in.

wait til jeff pulls the front axle then you can bring that up too! hhahahaha.

I mapquested you and it appears that you aren't that far from one of the sharpest engine guys on CK5. Have you tried to contact him or had him come help out?

i've talked to scott about building an engine but i ended up buying one off criagslist, but havent had him come down yet. i didnt even think about having someone else come down, i've had my buddy helping me pretty much the whole time and i dont want him to think i dont have faith in his abilities. plus i think his pride is on the line now. lol
if we cant get it pinned down after awhile then i'll start asking for help from the greatnesss.

Understand the respect of the buddy...... The summer is almost over though.

Well not for us Californians.

Good luck and we are just a post away or a call away.

thansk man. besides the mud wheeling aint for a few months away. as long as i can get it going in august or early september. i'll be happy. i'd like to get atleast 1 pismo trip in before the cold weather starts.

got new MSD plug wires, cap/rotor and coil pack last night.
gonna try on saturday to get the stinky bitch to fire.

Yeah we had it running for a good solid two - three minutes at the longest point. Hard part is we are fighting gas from las October. Got a few small issues to chase down but it's def a step in the right direction.

I feel bad for the first two hours this meaning I was thinking bout scrapping this one and buying a truck that ran. Glad I held out for a few more tries lol

very cool, I was thinking the timing marks may have been getting read wrong, its kinda easy to do on a 3 keyway crank gear.
Anyhow let er rip.

Thanks man.

Lol unfortunately due to some half assing on my end putting it together, It looks like the engine might have to come out to access the oil pressure port. On the plus side, knowing that it runs makes me breathe easy.

Hey bud, I'm pulling my Dana 44 on Monday. Its yours for free if you want it. Its an 8 lug with 4.10s and warn premium hubs. Newer pads and the long axle tube is fully welded at the center section. Its in good shape. Ready for a road trip? Let me know, its yours if you want it.

Which oil pressure port are you thinking has a problem? The port at the rear of the intake manifold should be easy enough to get to from the top or at the worst case you might have to pull the distributer to get to it.

It was that top port. But it had a seized up fitting that was corn****ed.

Got engine out and retapped it. I just have it plugged right now though.

I def want the axle but I have to find a way to get down to you but I gotta find a way done since all I have right now is the car.

finally got the engine complete. solved all my oil leaks. good to go for once.

going to start putting the front end back together this week and maybe get to move it out of the driveway so i can clean all the mud & spiders out for first time in a year.

lol. it was either lime green or neon pink. i figured i'll do pink on the wifes rig. should be more appropriate.

Green adds torque, pink horsepower. You prob got an extra 10 ft lbs by painting the fan.

Good. Than I chose correctly since this is a truck torque is better.

And I painted the can cuz it was a dull blue before. It clashed in my scheme.
How much is that custom air cleaner good for.
