Wait. I thought he had one. Actually, I thought this was his build thread. Suddenly I am confused. Who am I, and why am I here? Things are starting to get fuzzy again. :dunno:
Fuzzy like a Hamster, eh?

Rene is going to kill me for trolling anytime now!

Progress on the truck has been next to nothing lately. I kept saying I need to do some cleaning because I was feeling like the world was closing in on me and I couldn't focus on ANYTHING. So that's what I did on Friday. My work schedule has been altered for the summer so that me and the other mechanic can split the weekends so now I work 4 have 5 off work 4 have one off so today is another day off. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to work on this today and I have to work tomorrow because I'm taking Saturday off to speak at baccalaureate before graduation Sunday. So right now I should be working hard but I thought I'd post up some pics of my cleaning progress. I finally found my workbench again! Also got a bunch of stuff out of the middle of the floor and swept up the dirt/grinder dust/rust fragments. Still need to do a little more cleaning and get my 40s out of the shed so I can get some more stuff out of my garage. Hopefully with the new schedule I'll be able to get a little more work done.

Here's my new to me seat out of my CC. Might have to use the back seat instead of this one unless I can get the hinges to swap over. I didn't think about the front seat of a CC not folding forward! DUH... Oh and I left this outside last week to get snowed and rained on... :doah:

I like your bench, is that vise removable?
Thanks! Yeah it's mounted to a plate with a piece of square welded to the bottom and just drops into another piece of square with a home brew set screw. It's not super heavy duty or anything just a sheet of 1/8" with 3/4 OSB under it.

use a hitch receiver and burn in a nut so you can keep it tight. The cool thing about this design is the ability to swap out different tools (vise, notcher, bench extensions etc.)

That was my original plan but my poor planning made me do it a little different.

works just the same in the end.

I just happen to run across the receivers at the local metal supply store when I was there.
