Bearing going out...
Everything looks good? Idk... I'm about to swap in a semi floater and go nun killin. Front output is junk. Splines are shot and the yoke wouldn't tighten up. Thought I'd just swap in another shaft. Yeah right... The threads on the other 205s output are toast. Then I remembered I have a divorced dodge 205. It's a 32 spline so I have to get a different yoke but at this point what's another $100 into this thing? At least I found all this before I put it all in.

I have a stock GM 205 front output if you want it.
Thanks but I'm just going to stick with the 32 spline. I have to get a front and rear yoke anyway so it's no biggie. Really appreciate the offer! If you have a clutch alignment tool you can teleport it over to me. I was gona stab this in but I guess it's going to have to wait till next Friday. :doah:

If you trust your eyes, you can align the disc with screw drivers and playing with it. I did it once with a tractor that had to be split to change the clutch. Some old timer coached me!
That was a thrill at only 18!

I get that, I went 32 spline as well.

wooden dowels work, or a wooden broom handle

Thanks guys! My 15 yr old grilled some chops tonight so I called it quits for the night. I'll snag one from the shop tomorrow. I was thinking about working on it after work this week but I realized I have something going on after work up until Monday and Monday I have to work on the wife's truck after work. Soooo maybe Tuesday? Lol

I do it all the time, I rarely if ever use an alignment tool it's pretty easy.

Back at work today wishing I was working on this! I finally feel like I accomplished something on my days off (mostly because I finally did) but I want to get more done!!! I can't wait to have this thing finished. I'm a little bias but I think it's going to be a pretty awesome.

I'll 2nd that motion. But then again, we are all kinda partial to these square bodies...
Yeah this truck has made me more angry than any other vehicle I've owned at times but for some reason I couldn't ever get rid of it. I was pretty sick of working on it yesterday but at least I have peace of mind from tearing my doubler apart and checking things out.

Aaron remind me later to check the play on the output, I have a loose 205.
Not terribly keen on that play

I did some Google research and all I could find is that it can be anywhere from 1/8-3/8"??? Idk...

@bent72 confirmed that his output has about the same amount of end play. So that's good to know. Strange but good... On another good note I did get something done today! I bolted my radiator in! Haha!
