Mine are all wired up and ready to plug into whatever I think needs them. Planned on running my lights off of them and then I realized my little leds don’t draw anything close to what the switches are rated for.
I finally finished something... feels really good to have my dash back together. My switch finally showed up this afternoon too. I ran about a 2’ pigtail off of each switch that I’ll run to a fuse block under the dash and then to the accessories.
Very nice! I’m intrigued by the idea of using a phone/tablet for gauges.
I also started working on my headliner. It was in pretty bad shape. I think the vinyl got ripped off 15 years ago... literally. The corners where the visors mount were toast and I considered ditching it all together, but I really want to keep all the sound deadening I can. The first couple layers were in rough shape so I peeled them off.
I wasn’t sure how to go about repairing the corners and then I remembered I had the headliner out of my dodge and figured it had to have some material I could use. The top layer is a thin layer of fiberglass so I peeled it off.
I used cleaned up the old headliner and used some spray adhesive to glue the fiberglass to it.
Used pieces from the layers I removed to repair the damaged areas.
Added a couple layers on top of that to tie it all together. Then in true boat guy fashion.... I mixed up some fiberglass resin and slathered it on.
I’m going to add a layer of “fabric stuff” that I can’t think of the name of... to level it all out, and then I have some dark brown faux alligator skin picked out for it.
I really wanted to cage this before I put the interior together, but I don’t have the funds and I really need to get this thing on the road and get my sons truck put together. He has dumped a couple grand on parts/tires and I’m keeping him waiting. So without cutting corners on this I need to bust it out quick and do the cage later on. I am off tomorrow, and my boss called me asking if he could talk me into coming in but I told him no. He’s in a bind but I don’t have any sympathy for him. We are starting on his new house this week and we still have boats to winterize! Lots of poor planning on his part so he’s going to have to figure it out.

I wish fitech had a way to plug into a tablet like an obd2 equipped vehicle will. I am pleased with my cheap digital gauges though. Hope they last! I like how it all turned out. Probably should have went with another coat of nightshades on my high beam indicator as it’s still plenty bright!

Oh and I forgot to mention this... I mounted the Ram mount high enough that the camera has a good view of the road. I don’t think my cowl hood will block the view but I’m not positive.
