78 454 motor and parts

parting out a 1978 burban and first to be sold is the motor. my boss told me it ran before it was parked( few months ago) and it has 137k on it. i will pull it from the truck and do what is needed to get ready for shipping. i know that core motors around here go for 2-300 and running used motors go for 5-600. so lets say 450 for the long block. i'll see what i can do to verify the running part and snap some pictures. any interest let me know

DOH! If I had 450american right now, I'd buy it. If you still have it in the spring, I might possibuly buy it along with the 2 other 350's from another guy.

Would you have the brackets that go with the engine as well? Also, would you have any idea on a shipping price for that pig to Baton Rouge La.

yea i could include the brackets with the motor. i should be pulling the motor soon. any one know a shipping weight for a motor?

I found somewhere on the net that said a big block complete weighs around 670 lbs or so. I would be interested in the engine if shipping would not be too prohibitive. Let me know when you pull it.
