78 blazer ls swap

Start of an ls swap on my 78 K5
Its a kit from wamrods.com. It deletes the spring and adds a strut. Easy to install and no more taco hood. I'll post some better pics tomorrow.

I’m interested to learn more about this.

Question for everyone, would swaping a corp 14 and dana 44 be worth it?. I have the stock axles right now with 3.07 gears and those axles are both 4.10 gears and only costing me $400 bucks. What do you guys think?

Definitely would swap.

X2. Definitely worth it. Way cheaper and easier than swapping gears in the axles you have.

Modified the battery tray to fit the driver side. Started by using self tapping screws to hold in place.

Then I welded some inserts to be able to bolt in place.

Got a lot of work done today. Got the harness installed and painted the tubs . Installed the computer and temporarily wired the truck harness. Got the truck to crank and start with a little starting fluid

I'll take some more pics tomorrow. Looks alot cleaner now. Need to save up to buy the fuel system and the radiator and hoses.

Sorry for the long delay, wife and I had twins on Dec 3rd and I haven't had alot of time to work on my truck. Made a little progress this week. I mocked up the radiator and electric fans. Have all of the parts for the fuel system already. If I get a little time this week I should be able to get it done. Still need to find some trans cooler fittings for the new radiator. Going to start wiring after that, wife got me a new american autowire harness for Christmas.

Couple questions for you guys. Are the window switches physically the same on 78-87? I need to replace the connector on the drivers side and can't find one for the 78. I see some harness for sale for 82-87. Since I'm installing a new harness I can go ahead and modify the wiring as long as the switches will fit. I'm also going to hookup a/c, I'm wondering what sensor or switch this is? It's taped on the lower side of the evaporator. Also, has anyone wired a trinary switch to a factory a/c system?
