This is what I did tonight, after Work and after checkin out some potential new houses, removed with the help of my trusty air hammer.

The BEST way to remove these rivets. But ya gotta have a good one, with a GOOD chisel. When I say good my particular experience is matco, Snapon are the top. Period.
If you have an oxy/ace torch, they work pretty good too. But Ive found for me the air hammer is a close second. Truck is looking good. Keep it up

Only issue with blue torch, here in Az... Workin outside,
#1 it's already hot enough,
#2 grass highly disagrees with the blue wrench's byproduct

got the DIY4x shackle flip installed today, got lucky and the mail showed up just in time with the greasebolts and spring bushings so i could keep rolling.

standard stuff here, bolt in and go, only bonked my head a couple times, oh and on the bottom holes i needed to make the holes bigger, as they didnt line up completely with the bracket holes. tiny setback, made better with proper application of a unibit!

Ive still gotta install the easy inch blocks, but need new u-bolts i thought i could get away with not doin them, but just not enough thread on the current ones, and the 6" lift ubolts i have, the threads dont go down far enough. so like many other things on the truck it'll have to wait.

Looks like its probably sufficient. I bet you could flip them left to right and instal some 56's!

That's probably gonna happen in the future, sooner if I run across a set. What year were those again, the 88+ one tons or Somethin?

I THINK they started earlier than that depending on application. What tires are you planning on running?

Eventually, just mil surprise 37s I've gotta good line on them from a couple places in Tucson, just up the road.

They'll go good with my hmmwv 12 bolt wheels I've got stashed for when I swap to 1ton axles.

i just love the look of this truck for some reason. i think its the mismatched top on the long bed. congrats on the youngin!! keep up the good work

You are working on this in the dirt? outside? in Sierra Vista in June? during the day? That my friend, is HARDCORE!!! :thumb:
