'78 K20 - RootBreaker from 1990 - nov 2025 8.1L not runnin

I've been told it will start with a bad cam sensor, just not run as smooth. The cam sensor is used to time the fuel injection. For the crank sensor, look at the fault codes and see if there is RPM while cranking. If the crank sensor (or wiring) is dead, there will be no spark because it has no idea when to spark. I think you're on the right track to start with the basics, like attaching a fuel pressure gauge. An easy way to check spark is to put a timing light on the plug wires.

Timing light on plug wites? I gave away all my timing lights lol

I’m going to say bad crank sensor. I’ve had a brand new one bad in the box. I’ve also had a brand new one fail after just a dozen runs just idling. It sure makes you scratch your head for a while.

I bought a cheap Amazon BT scanner. It shows me live data. Enough data that I can see if the crank sensor is gettting signal.

53psi to rail.

Friend said i have fuel and spark but seems no injector trigger...

Anyone know how to test this?

Wait... Wonder if i have a bigger ground issue.
I have no parking lights, no turn signals, no reverse lights and my cousin said he had (5.3l) ground wire issue...
