I payed 3k and it took a couple days to carefully dissect without damaging anything but I have everything including a disc brake 14bff for the k5 haha. Hopefully you can sort out what's missing but like I said I'll have a good harness at some point

wow I was in an 8.1 group on FB.. and was talking back and forth on my new to me purchase and we got talking like what happens.. someone said my sbc flywheel wont work and he has done these swaps. said a 1989 and older sbc will.. so I politely said.. on pirate a guy (and I gave the link) said he bought the 8.1L flywheel and put it up to his sbc and wow a total waste. they are the same.. so the guy replies..

How do you remove the crankshaft sensor? I broke it off!!!! Does it just pry up?

Ah shit. It's about 5" long and goes Strait down. There's only an Orting holding it in besides the bolt. I dunno what to try maybe that wood screw and slide hammer? Or drive down around the edges until it loosens maybe
I've heard of those breaking like that too. When I took mine out originally it was hard to get it to "pop" out. It does just slide up and out...it's probably the little rubber seal still holding it in...gotta somehow get it to pop up and out

thx for confirmation that it just slides in. when looking at the new one. wasn't sure if you needed to "Turn" it a few degrees like a slight key to it..

Tried slap hammer but kept breaking plastic. Eventually chisseled out top to show o ring and pried it out.

So does anyone have a clean pic of wires going under front? This is so nasty that i will clean it but would love to visualize it.... last part b4 harness is off...

Now that im lookin.. harness held to that plastic via loom clips that push through? Thats for tomorrow... time to chill ..eat..grab a beer and getready for football
Just doin things as im bored. Just walked out in garage to grab a beer. Grabbed rachet and took ac comp and bracket off. Wow that takes ton of room.... now i can see the nastiness... lots to clean...

Yea take it all out of there. I deleted the part# for the block off plate and gasket though. Larry has it I had to power wash mine on the stand it was the same way
its interesting that I see Larry's and it is just soooo clean!!!! hah.. this thing is like a fat boy at a china buffet on a 10 minute lunch break! nom nom nom.. messy
