78\' Power rear window question

I recently purchased a 1978 Blazer with the power rear glass and it doesn't work. I am debating on changing the motor or just converting to manual rear glass. what do you guys think? I have heard the horror stories of the rear window motors and don't want to have to deal with it all the time.

Deal with an occasional motor problem (maybe once in 5 years if you put it together right) or deal with the broken manual window handles once in awhile.

I guess it comes down to convenience...for me, without AC, it's nice to be able to roll the window down while driving.
