79 crew cab k30 sleeper daully (new pichs)

I didn't know that look was called a sleeper dually.
When.I opened your thread I was thinking blown big block or a killer.diesel

the pictures actaully a little desaving, im actually putting a c30 and my k30 to gether at the same time. just that was the only way we could get it all to fit on the bed ot the 35 ft goose neck the second frames standing up on the the other side of the trailer. so in the end im putting two crew cabs together, on c30 crew cab, with stock cab and chasey 14b with a locker, 465, and 350H.O. and then my k30 crew cab, with stock cab and chasey 14b with rear disk brakes, 203, 465, 6.2 diesel, d60 up front.

ok so i the fleet side would beds out of the picture now do to lack of space on the trailer so im thinking of putting a m101 or m105 bed on the back, for a bed. it would look kinda like this.:D

Gotta be a 101 bed. Wouldn't a 105 bed be too big?

i know a guy how has m105 rust free willing to sell the trailer with the bows and the cover or 650 for the hole trailer. i can alway shorten one a m105 bed down.

I think a standard fleetside bed looks a lot better, even an all metal one, doesn't have to be wood floor. You're kind of losing the tucked in sleeper look if you ditch the bed aren't you?

105 bed would be too wide I'd think. They're as wide as a Deuce or 5 ton. You'd have a lot of fabbin' just to cut it down to size.

yep but not by choose but not having enough room on the trailer and running out of time.

Can't you just get a different bed locally or something?

a rust free bed in the midwest :haha::haha: u guys are funny.

I was all excited to see dual wheels tucked under a smooth fleetside bed, and now you are crapping on your own parade with this flat bed crap. Why don't you just buy a cab and chassis truck now, it's the same thing. :flipoff10:

A rusty bed with bondo on it and a spray bomb paint job would look better than one of those funky beds you were talking about! :thumb:

I have to agree, i was excited / interested :pimp: :woot: to see the tucked wheels under the stock bed , the flat bed setup just wont be anywhere near as cool

It's actually not very exciting to look at. Lots of folks, even those that know trucks, don't even notice that it's a dually, at least at first. On mine the fender flares are the only thing that draws attention, and I may end up tucking the wheels/tires in a bit more and can drop the flares.

Plus if you tub the wheel wells in, you lose the ability to carry 48" sheets of e.g. plywood or sheetrock flat on the floor :doah:

Given the chance to do it again, I'm not convinced that I would, but it is rare, at least =))

That's a good idea, those flares kind of ruin the "sleeper" look. Looks like a dodge dually flare or something. A regular dually looks better than the flares. But without the flares, it just looks smooth I feel like, based on that first picture he posted of the green one.

Mine ended up with SRW hubs, so the WMS is 2" out on each side, and the tires peek out of the wheel well a bit more than I'd like.

One of these years I wanna go back and fiddle with them, might try the DRW hubs which would move the WMS/tires in more, could prolly take the flares off.

The flares are actually 73-80 fronts, that came on one of my spare front clips. But yeah, I know what you mean about those Dodge duallies -- they look even sillier, IMO.

dremu i was hoping mine daully would end up looking like urs and one day it may very well end up like that but for now i can get a m101a1 trailer for 650 complete localy so im going that route.

oh and i must have forgotten to mention this i'm building two of these trucks a c-30 and a k-30 so my k-30 will be rowing the m101 bed for a while while the c-30 will be rowing with a fleet side bed, but trucks will be cab and chassis.
