ok so i have been plaing with an idea to build a 79-80 crew cab, cab and chassey, four wheel disk brake, sleeper daully, with a 6.2na, sm465 32 splinded, np203 alwheel drive, 3.73 gears with an eight foot fleet side wood floor, on 33''. been putting the parts to gether with the help of a few new friends in socal, (bhays, throttleissues) to round up the parts to put it to gether. this will be my daily driver in the summer late spring and early fall. to diving dearing the salty mounths. im thinking por 15 the frame under side of the cab and bed. herculiner the in side bed walls, small accuse door in the floor of the bed for a goose neck. 10,000 farm hitch rear bumper, with hidden draw bar. 40 gal rear in frame tank, with remote filler to o.e.m. fuel filler door, cucv front grill gaurd with shackles, and remote fold out running boards (for the mrs.). been thinking a nice dark blue paint job, possibly valspar's dark blue truck and trailer paint with alittle hardener mixed in. solid alumanum tread plate bed rail gaurds, full solid alumanum tread plate tailgate cover, and a extra deep alumanum tread plate truck box with an extre 16 gal. fuel reserve. been tossing around the idea of having the factory bud rims crome plated or painted gloss black, or even silver. any ideas guys? and front and rear bumpers will be painted silver. all part exeapt the bumpers are coming from socal, so just imn case ur all wandering i will be bared in this truck, lmfao, at lease thats what my wife says. :haha: hoping to have it done by late august, all throw it may not be completed till late feb. or early march, if life gets in the way. ill post a few pichures in the next few days of the parts i have already gotten.

so is it cab chassy with a wood flat bed? explain the sleeper part.

so you're going to rock the 203 in full time status? it will be great in the snow. :thumb:

yesss, thats y they cal it a sleeper daully, because is doesnt have the bump outs. beauce when u pull up behind it u cant tell the difference between it and a k-20 or k-10

:haha::haha::haha::haha:

the donor frame, the yellow cab is going on the my best friends truck that we have been putting to gether for him. the rear end of the truck was picked up by a fork lift and the passenger side frame rail was bent but the driver side is still strait as can be, so straiting that back out shouldnt be impossible. we've done it before and we can do it again. the fame had exstinitions welded on for a service bed and they are going to be cut off doue to the fact im putting a fleet side bed on it.

the reason im not using the yellow 83 cab is for the simple fact that it does not have all the hood supports that the 78 does to support the 79 to 80 front end im going to be putting on it. the donor interior is blue and should work out nicely. the rear cab corners do look like they have been replaced.

rear cab and chassie disk brake kit. im probley going to have to grind a small part of the hose cage away so that the hose runs along the axle tub instead of tring to go threw the spring pack.

ya as far as i know of theres got to be less then a dozen that ppl have made, altho i did see a few years back (no pichure of corse) a guy here in indy made a ten foot fleet side bed and it was tubbed for a cab and chassey axle.

It looks like the calipers will hit the leaf springs? Are you going to have to run blocks? Or can you rotate them down a little by flipping the caliper bracket?

they will clear with a quarter inch but i was plaining on taking the rebound leaf out because its going to stay a one ton, but be used as a dd and the family road trip truck. nother oppition is to add a zero rate but i dont want the a$$ to sit to high.

frame and cabs r loaded and headed back to chris' today. getting more exited each day. also go the engine last wendsday too.

Should just graft the rear of that other cab on there and have a six door....

What rotors are you using in the back? I've had fitment issues with mine, running like 1/4" or 3/8" spacers at the moment and it's still not ideal.
