Cleaning house again. Trying to get rid of everything not gonna use in the immediate future. Also need to catch up on bills from being out of work.
I got this truck to make some extra money plowing, but actually only plowed a handfull of driveways. The plow setup is older, works, but needs some work. Main thing it needs is the pump motor, I can get a new one for $75. Couple of the couplers have leaks, the blade itself has been patched a bunch of times. Would be fine for a couple driveways, but anything more would require some work.
The truck itself isn't too bad. Has new sheetmetal on the front, doors, fenders, inners, rockers, but the rockers and cab corners are starting to go again. Floors are solid, pass side kickpanel has some rust, but don't think it would be a hard fix. Bed is beyond repair, the whole thing is junk. The fender flares might be savable, but that would be it. Interior is OK, has a nice black bench, recently recovered. Truck was brown w/tan interior, the doors panels were painted to match the truck, (blue) and now the paint is flaking off. Door panels are easy to find tho. No carpet, has a rubber mat that is in good shape. No headliner or any trim, truck is a Scottsdale, so no fancy nothing. Gauges work, got a vacuum and a clock to put in for some stupid reason, just never put them in .
Axles are of course Dana 60 front and Dana 70HD rear. 4.10s both are open. Front has new brakes, u-joints, kingpin bushing/springs/washers. Right now is full time, have a set of Mile Markers that go with it. Overall not in bad shape, dirty and a little rusty, but being a 79 in New York, hard to get around that. Rear has new hardline going to the axle, rubber splitter, lines over the axle to each side, new cylinders, hardware kit, and shoes. Brakes on the truck and great, will stop in a hurry. The front rotors could use a turn, truck was sitting for awhile before I got it, so they had little rust on them.
Trans is a 400/203, and both work perfect. Trans shifts smooth, doesn't slam into reverse either. Doesn't leak anything, works like it's supposed to. T-case works the same, not alot of slop chain, not much backlash (not sure if that is the right term??) when coasting. U-joints are tight. Has new tires on the back, one tire has a nail in it, has a leak. Fronts aren't too bad, still legal, 1/2 tread maybe??
I'm keeping the 400 that is currently in the truck, but I have a line on a strong 350 out of a 71 Burban for $400. The axles and tranny combo are worth what I'm asking for the truck, and have some usable parts as well. I'll get some pics this weekend and post them in here. PM or call if you want anymore info, 607-237-0067. Title is clear and in my name......
