We are going to Tahuya this Saturday, want to go back out? The weather is supposed to be real nice.

Need to fix the tranny mount that broke...

So, I'm gonna drop the 205 and twin stick it at the same time...

I've been meaning to do it for a while, might as well get it out of the way...

Just hoping I didn't trash the adaptor as well...

Probably won't be ready for this weekend...

just thought i'd throw these two up as a comparitive side by side.

badAss man. great build.

Thanks, I went to that stump just because of that pic...:D

Tahuya is pretty easy, but a great place for a shake down... Plenty of stuff to flex on and check for clearance issues and you can cover a lot of ground to work the drive train for extened periods... I'll go back for the next work party and hit the hill climbs...

that stump looks soo much less impressive at the end of your build then it did at the beggining. lol
now its just a speed bump.
how long before you think you'll have the twin stick buttoned up and back on trail?

I have the 205 on the ground, but I might build a doubler before I throw it back in...

3 sticks are better than 2, right???:D

Last night I tore apart a couple of 203s for the gear boxes, one for me and one for a buddy... Gonna try and get it all done this week... He's already twin sticked but he broke the front output shaft on his 205... I think another buddy has an output shaft for him, so hopefully we can build both of them and stuff them back in, within a week or so...

Mine's gonna be a th400/np203/round pattern np205 and his will be a th350/np203/figure eight pattern np205...

I can't wait for the lower gears...

Started building a doubler...

Broke a 203 down, made a plate for the back side to hold the bearing in place...

Then made a plate to bolt up to the t400/np205 adapter...

Took the shafts down(one is for a buddies doubler we're building at the same time) to get them cut, turned and splined...

Can't find the most recent pics I took of the shafts after they were done and both t-cases going together... I'll post them when I figure out what happened to them...

Still have to drill and tap the front of the np203 for the t400/np208 adapter and make a clocking ring for the np205...

Then triple sticks, cross members and rebuild the d-lines...

Few more pics...

Grinding the shift rail for front digs...

Gonna hold off on finishing the doubler for now... I won't have time to build cross members, re-do the d-lines and exhaust before Memorial Day...

I still have work that needs to be done on the Crew Cab and car trailer in order to be ready, so I'll wheel it without the doubler for a bit...

Looking good! How much did it cost to get the shafts cut, turned and splined if you don't mind me asking? All of these homemade doublers have me thinking....
