I need to come and watch you weld. I need a good teacher:-/

I meant to reply to this before...:doah:

My welding is a lot nicer when I'm not drunk...:D

There's a lot of welds on this thing that don't look that good because of late nights drinking with my brother... Don't get me wrong, my welds are strong as sh!t... Some just look blurry even after I sober up the next day...:haha:

I grew up in a weld shop, my dad has always had a pipe on 45* with restricter plates x-ray cert(worked in the shipyards and on the Alaskan Pipeline)... I laid down my first bead 32 yrs ago, so I guess you could say I've gotten lazy when it comes to making them look good...

My boys are getting better and have some decent welds that are on the truck... I believe that welding is something every young boy should learn, as well as, pulling a motor and tranny...

my welds are basically boogger welds re ground and then welded better,so those are real good ,even if you were drunk when you did them.haha.i try to keep my kids involved also as much as possible.not old enough for welding yet,but they serve as good gophers so i dont have to get up.they are learning tools pretty good now.

Thanks guys...

Got the bed almost finished...

Used the bed floor out of a truck in the yard for the wheel wells...

Well, I started building the tie rod and taking measurements for the hydro ram...

It'll be nice to have the Blazer sitting on it's own four feet...

Started off getting everything aligned and square...

The rod ends are in double shear...

Got some 1.5" .250 wall dom for the tie rod... I was going to have Bunk make me one, he quoted me a great price but it's hard to beat free... Thanks anyways Bunk...

Well, I wasn't real happy with that bad of an angle for the ram...

So, I tossed the whole idea and started over...

Here's what I came up with...
