So after being without a project truck for well over a year, im finally back into it. Started out with a 84 k5 I bought from skrappyk5. Then I picked up a nearly rust free 79 k20 for $400:D. Now I just picked up ANOTHER k5.

So the plans are to build the 79 pick up into what I had before.

For reference:

So im taking the running gear from the 91. Tbi 350, 465,208, locked 14bff, 10 bolt, 4.10's

Im taking the tires off of the 84, along with the front clip/ bumper.

For suspension im using the Rough Country 4" front springs, 1" aal and corrected shackle angle. In the rear im going to do a flip with usdr shackles, and 56" springs, 1" aal.

For the interior im gonna run bucket seats, bedliner the floor and eventually build an aluminum dash, much like my old one.

Heres pics of the two k5's. The truck will be back at my hous ein the next few days, will have pics up then.

If anyones looking for parts, let me know. Im gonna have a ton of extra stuff:crazy:

I used 2x10's for the main runners, deck boards on top. The front of the box flipped open. Fuel cells, battery and storage were under it.

any chance i might be able to get the 241 out of the 91? i can send you my 208 that is my substitute till i find a 241. or has it been changed to a 208?

Its not the original tcase/ tranny. Its a 208 in it.

how about the plastic trim piece for the headliner.....at the rear of the cab on a k5 blazer...the piece where the dome light mounts? how much for the part and shipping to south carolina , zip code 29817:wink1:

Looks good!

Quick ? on the dash - How does the DMV feel about you relocating the VIN plate? I think if I did that here, I might get in hot water..

rr

To be honest I never really cared. No emissons no inspections. I guess I could leave the vin attached to the metal dash and work around it but I didn't feel like it.

Also for whoever needs parts, just shoot me a pm rather then cluttering the post;)

So I got the tbi motor out of the blazer and into the garage. Tranny and t case are ready to come out as well. Got to finish taking the blazer aqpart, then its time to get going on the truck. Willhave pics up tonight

Also got the new motor, harness, steering column, pedal assembly in. Still need to splice some of the harness and figure out some connectors. Anyways, on to the pics. No snow, but maybe some tonight. if its decent tomorrow ill get the tranny/ tcase in, and work on the wiring. Once that's done I need to slide in the new axles/ springs, along with the fuel system, exhaust.... the list goes on:D

Question on some connectors. does anybody have an idea as to what these are for? Also on the coil, what is the white wire on that connector for? (the wire is cut) and what is the other port for? i dont seem to have the connector on the harness...?

harnness in hand looks like 700r4 lockup plug to tranny.

you are missing the second half of the coil harnness thay use both plugs on the coil. 1 to dist and 1 truck side. white wire with flat spade is tach on them from factory.

I can take some picks tomorrow morning, but I'm to drunk and it's too dark outside right now.
