8 Low

Ummm, I poured power steering fluid in last night, & gas! If you told me 20yrs ago I'd buy 8 quarts of power steering fluid for $100 I'd say you were crazy. This pig is going into storage this next weekend for the rest of the winter. Need to free up shop space for some other projects.

i am very aware that this sucks. I'm just getting to the fun stuff. Shock mounts, traction bar, cage, bumpers... Stuff where I actually get to be a little creative. But. I've been putting off some critical maintenance. Have to get caught up & save some more parts $.

Don't take us too serious. Lol

Alright, nearly got caught up in the election coverage while waiting for the daughter to go to sleep but I pounded some of the kids Haloween M&M's & a cup of Joe & got my ass out the door & to work! Took the spacers out of the transfer case crossover. Had to do a little BFH work even still but floor clearance looks good now. Rear driveshaft is hanging in there with no straps. Going to stop by the driveline store tomorrow & get some new ones. Bolted on the master. Going to have to get adapters for the brake lines. Installed the new longer front brake lines. Going to replace the drivers caliper, the bleeder is broke off & im not dicking with it. Re installed shifter lever. It just had enough length after a 1" body lift. Last night I rigged my fill tube for fuel. It's going to get some more attention obviously but I need some parts. LOTS of work left to do!

Get it done than use it and never put it away?
Ohh hell yea. My shed is 20x20 so I can not really store it in there & have room to work. I'm putting a shipping container 16' off to the side of the shed then framing in between them with a roof. This will give me a cold storage stall for the Burb. It will be In REDCON 3 status.

Not happening this time. I'd have to cobble some things up & I don't want to have to do that. Still need a front driveline. The shocks I bought I am sure are too short to be out boarded. Those items are going to be a chunk of change.

Battery, I need a damn battery too. I have 5 POS batteries sitting outside the shed to including a bairly used Optima & not a good one in the bunch.

Deep breath....... I nearly hit full retard freak out mode trying to get my tranny dipstick tube in tonight. Too much coffee? When it finally went, it went easy. Install from bottom, not top!

Mocked up front shock towers. Cut the bend out of them & used there full length. Going to weld a plate to them that will sit on top of the frame rail & tie into the motor mount bolts then add a couple gussets. They still may flex a little. I'll have to do some testing. This is all the droop I got out of it with my shackles set up where they are. I think it only measured 7" at the spring plate. Looks like Once I set up my bumps to stop the up travel at a flat spring I'm only going to have about 10-11" of total travel. May be a little more, not much.

Yup I would too, ripped my frame on mine with those. I had bump stops on the bottom of them though.
