8 Low

They will tie into the top motor mount crossover bolts. I'll upgrade to a ORD crossover at some point. When the pig runs I'll do a little GoPro testing to see if they flex. If they do, I'll get a little more serious with them.

Looks like I'm going to make a choice between the 3rd row seating & putting my rear shocks where I want them. Jackson made a point to leave the seat provisions when he did the bob/box mod. I think it would be pretty sweet to fit 7 people in here. I mean, what's the point of a Burb if you don't have a 3rd row seat?

Just to seal the deal I cut a hole in the rear wheel well. It's only going to gain me a couple inches & the boxed portion is going to squeeze the 3rd row seat a bit. I've got a couple ideas on my shock tower but I know it's going to be 1 peice for both rear shocks. Basically a crossmember. This is one area I do not want to compromise. I want 100% or damn close to, function out of my shocks. Not sure why I'm stuck on it but that's where I am.

Nice build, love the front fender mods. Plan on cutting the rears to match?

Yea, I think I have the rear axle moved far enough back that I can leave the front of the rear fender well alone. I'll move the back back a few inches though for sure. I'd like to wait till I can get a fresh replacement quarter panel to use. Both the Burb & the brown pickup had some cancer in the rear quarters.

Nice, look forward to seeing how it comes out. You still running fenderwells in the front, if so could you post some pics of how you modified them to work.

Only had an hour. Got the old brakes off the 14bolt. I was a little suprized at how much lighter the 14bolt components were than the Dana80 I have been dragging around. The 14 bolt is in much better repair than the 80. I was viciously attacked by a killer woodpecker who must have fell threw the hole in my attic floor. Caught him mid flight. He was not a happy nor friendly woodpecker. He bites!

If you can't find one I have a case and most of the internals minus front input for one. Has ground shift rails too. Not complete but offer is there if ya need.

Roger, thanks. If I don't find a complete case here pretty soon I'll let you know.

Found a 205 here local... Moving forward again! Bad part of switching from the Dana 80 to the 14 bolt is that I invested in a lot of Dana 80 specific parts. Those huge axle tubes! Traction bar brackets, U bolts, spring plates, spring perches, disk brake brackets. I think I'm able to exchange my brake brackets, the perches I'll eat, I don't care to cut them off & clean them up, U bolts & spring plates I'll pretty much eat also. Par for the course. The 205 is supposed to be in good shape. I'll probably wait to double it till next winter. I'm going to try a set of EBay 5:38's & a lincoln locker for now.

Cut some stuff off of the 14 bolt. I am kind of regretting cutting off the spring perches before checking the pinion angle, I think it would have been fine. Unbolted the 203 minus one bolt. It's ready to drop as soon as I get my jack back from the rearend. Need spring plates & Ubolts to show.

Awwww! Look what I found tucked in with my spring perches & brake conversion brackets! I dig it! Thanks RuffStuff!
