8 Low

But on a serious note... a lot of the boats I work on have 350s and they’re usually running around 4K for most of the day so I bet you will be fine

Rearend is back in. Got my pinion angle dialed in so driveline vibrations should be a thing of the past. I thought about testing it before I burned it in but no time for that. It's GTG. Next week is going to be brutal. SO much work left to do! Picture so this post is not so boring...

This thread isn’t boring... but I do like pics. Been thinking pretty hard about a tablet/iPad setup

I don't particularly care for sheet metal work. You couldn't tell from the sheet metal work heavy rigs I seem to build. Got home from CO last night & finished install of my traction bar. This morning wired a new antenna & speaker for the CB. Then welded. Thursday before I left I managed to get the rear window in by myself with the help of a strap & a couple 2x4's. Somthing drained my battery over the weekend, not cool.

Swapped out the "Speedway Motors" proportioning valve for a Willwood. Much better quality. At least 5 threads of engagement as opposed to may be 2 on the Speedway reverse engineered Chinese junk. Switched wires around on CB, hopefully that eliminates the power drain. Welded, welded & welded on the cab & box, still not done. It's freaking raining & my yard is soaked. I can't pull the truck in & out this week so I guess there will be no miles of testing before Moab. I may have to pull the plug on my trip.

Um isn't this a 4x4. I bet it can make it in and out of your garage and it probably wouldn't mind the rain either.

Well, yea, but. My little shitbox shed I'm building this rig in is at the bottom of a hill & I have to drive directly threw my front yard to exit the property. Putting the house on the market the first of April & I don't really want ruts in the yard right now.

Ok yeah that makes sense then. Although it probably would be fun, uphill through the mud across the yard!

The ground was frozen enough this morning & I tried to hustle & get the carpet & seats in but ran out of time. Finished welding the hump above the transfer cases. Started install of the carpet. I'll have the interior buttoned up to where I can drive it to work tomorow. This 3AM cycle is feeling normalish now. Im up before my alarm. I've lost 8lb in the last month. Ready to get in, shut up & drive! 2 days to Moab!

Drove in 8low this morning. Changing the pinion angle did not eliminate the driveline harmonics. I was really sure it would. I need to have the balence on the shaft checked. Threw in the carpet, front seats. Mounted HiLift, C02, spare gas tank. I'm done working on it. Just going to load up & go.
