I'd say $50 is worth it. Is it complete? Does it have the gears you need? How much work does it need? IE- rebuild stuff, brakes, rotors, seals, bearings, hubs etc...those things would have the biggest impact on how good a deal it is.
Just the axle shafts are worth at least $50. If the tie rod is straight, that is also worth it. Both items can be hard to find when you need a replacement.
well i have a buddy with 33 tsl's on stock chevy truck wheels 6 lug, he is starting a complete build and i think he might want to sell them so he can get bigger tires. ill ask him this weekend when i see him and see how much he would want for them
well i got that axle today, cmae with everything except the locking hubs on the outside. i got leaf springs tie rod drag link sway bar and everything else thats bolted to the axle for 50 bucks. not to bad of a deal i think
Eh, the cutoff was a mixed date. GM seems to have occasionally used stuff out of the nooks and crannies of the warehouses for several years after they officially switched over to the 10 bolt front and rear. We've covered this on here before many times and enough cases exist to show their official switch over dates were just official numbers.
i think i was thinking of the 10bolt rear and the 12bolt rear when they switched. it was like 1978 or 1979 wasent. but idk ive been slacking on my chevy truck history since ive been customizing my truck haha
Nah, consider the dates when they started to switch over. They were using up parts they found in the back rooms of the warehouses until they absolutely ran out or couldn't use them.
Yeah, that's a 4.56 ratio. The ratios are usually half advertising. Might be original gears. Rare but was an OEM ratio.
