8 lug 10 bolt

God dammit.. So the guy next door just had an 8 lug front axle.. He scrapped it. Because he's a scrapper. I just asked him if he's come across any and was like "oh yea, had one yesterday i took to the scrap yard." I almost cried...

haha yea man you pretty much have my luck. ive seen so many good deals the day after they were sold or scraped but i fianlly got my timing right with on deal hahaha

good luck searching

3 hours isnt so bad. I went wheeling with BGKY5 in August at a park there. Had a good time, hopefully soon my junk can play too.

yea id like to go wheelin with you guys in my truck but as it is right now it may be awhile befor it runs lol but you all know how it goes

alright guys, i have come to the conclusion that no parts store around me carries brass punches. ive been to autozone ,o'riellys, advanced ,napa ,walmart, k-mart and car quest and no one has them. im hoping lowes will have one other wise im done lol jk haha sometimes the tools are harder to find than the parts

Checked Sears?

Ooooh, also try Harbor Freight!

Last time I did it we used my buddy's and he's back in Michigan sooo... If you can't find any I might have some. Let me know and I'll check.

well i went to lowes and couldnt find one so i was kinda pissed, i figured they would have them. but i did get them in, prolly not the best way but i didnt hurt the bearing races any from what i could see.

i just took the old bearing races and fliped them on top of the new one and hammered on the old one, its the same size and wont slip down where the bearing rides so i didnt scratch any of the contact area and it went in pretty even on both sides. if your ever putting in bearing races and you dont have a brass punch try this i think it worked great.

ok so i tried all weekend and i cant get my hubs back on. need some advice.

well i got all new bearings and seals and put them in then i went to put the hub on the spindle and the inner bearing wouldnt fit over the spindle all the way, it gets like half way and wont go on anymore. i checked and the numbers stamped in the new bearings are the same as the old bearings so i know i got the right ones but they dont fit. i tried heating them up and it still wouldnt go all the way on. i thought about hammering the hub on but i didnt want to do anything like that unless its the last resort. i did measure the spindle and the inner side of the bearing and it looks like the spindle is like 1 thousandth under 2'' and the inside of the of the bearing is about 3 thousandths under 2''. i was thinking maybe getting some emory cloth to clean the spindle where the bearing rides and maybe get it to fit that way but i dont know if thats the best idea.

any advice on what to do would be very apperciated
