8 lug hubs

I have searched and the cheapest I can find is $109 per hub. You still need studs, rotors, bearings, races, backing plates.

thats a good deal. Don't rush in to anything. I prefer to get a matching set of axles with the ratio I am looking for. I bought a D44/14 bolt with 4.56 gears. also got the driveshafts and a 205 from the same truck. I paid $300 for everything. I sold the 205 for $200. that helped pay to rebuild the axles.

I don't want to set up gears, or pay someone to do it. thats the advantage of a matching set of axles. 3.73-4.10-4.56 gears are the common ratios in a 44/14 or 10/14 combo.

If I did it over I would spend as little money as possible on the front axle until I found a deal on a 60. but not everybody needs a 60. I ran a 44 under 35" tires for years. spent tons on HD shafts, hub fuses, warn premium hubs, locker, HD u-joints. At least when I parted out the 44 I got almost what I paid for my 60 out of it.

well alot of jeep guys around here goin full width are running 12 bolt rear and 10 bolt front so if i beef up my front i know i can sell it to one of them ya know? when u order wheel bearings do they come w/ races? b/c im not sure if the rotor/hub assm. comes w/ races or not. i blew out my pinion a week and some change ago. and so ive got a 4.88 R&P w/ a mini install kit. im still waiting to hear on the 14bolt FF i found through a friend. am i gonna have to do anything to the yoke or ujoint b/c of the different sizes coming from the stock driveshaft to the 14bolt?

one of the bearings comes with a race the other does not. You have to buy it seperate. usually the hub assembly comes with races already installed. You will need a conversion joint for the driveshaft.

what ratio did you blow up?

what ever is in my stock axles, im guessing 3.73 . right now ive got a plug in the slip yoke and my rear driveshaft out and my hubs locked in and in 4wheel high. where can i get the conversion for the driveshaft?? do i need to have a new driveshaft made?
edit: nvm found what i need a 1310/1350 conversion joint for $30 from napa

ive looked all over adavance auto, napa, and autozone and cant find a 3/4 ton backin plate any suggestions?

did you get a new carrier or thick gears. because a standard 4.88 gearset will not work on a 3.73 carrier. the backing plates are not a wear item. I am including them in my ebay auction. Then you would have everything. I know the bearings are good because I just bought them and only drove the truck on them 4 times in a year.

i got the thick gears. so if i bought ur hubs/etc all id need are rotors and caliper supports?

That's not something the normal/regular auto parts stores will have, either a dealer, online, or the junk yards.

the backing plate and caliper support are the same thing. I have them and will include them with the auction, just have to add to the shipping for the extra weight and size.

well i get a nice check come friday so ill bid on it friday night maybe sat. morning before i go to work
