Not really long enough to lay in.
Mine is about 5.5' measuring along the bed floor. Would be a little longer if you count the footwell.

Mine should be very spacious then. I'm only 5'9". With a 6'4" bed.
Today we got the box permanently attached to the cab. Still a bit of welding to do on the inside surfaces.
We used a 3m Panel adhesive for the outside as to mitigate any chance of warpage. Tomorrow the glue should be fully set which will bring the task of completing four body mounts and all the welding on the inside of the box. After that we'll finish up the cage on the inside, or at least the tubes that head rearward and form some of what I would consider to be included in body mounting.
Having this done allows us to head in a lot of other directions. We can continue on some tail end wiring, bumper, topper, roll cage, rear shock mounts and a lot of the storage stuff I have in mind.

Pretty slammed with getting the powder coating situation up and running but hope to start making a little progress on it here and there again.

Thinking about making the topper portion removable. Hard top similar to a blazers but no windows in the sides. It'd be an all aluminum construction and could be designed from the get go as a "hoist ready" removable top.

Actually found some time to work on this today. Got some floor plates for the rear section of the roll cage mocked up. Get some roll cage tubes bent up tomorrow and tacked in place. Won't be long and i'll be moving fender wells. I'm not looking forward to that.
Lol. It always seems the same... No matter what your level of fab skills, or love of all things custom.. EVERYBODY hates body work
Yep, I believe that to be accurate. I think its the tediousness of it. And there just aint no way around it. To be done right you gotta spend the time. I've studied the fender wells and how all the pieces and parts come together including the cross members under the bed and have formulated a plan of attack. We'll see how it all goes.
