As shown in the picture above, factory rail next to the 3 pieces of rectangular tube rail,

Factory, 85lbs.
New rail, 87lbs.

....:eek1: did not expect that
soooo time is the only downside to making your own square tube frame.

Already some design ideas in the works. Just a matter of time really.

A billet pulley set might be cool. Might be some other pieces that could use a look.

Lots of welding to do!

So are these available on your site yet?:D

As always you do amazing work. Wish I had the funds to purchase more of your stuff. Cant wait to see how this build turns out. Sounds exactly like what I want to do with my old truck.

Not on the site yet. We are talking about a template set for making your own frame rails. It's really not that hard to do. The harder part will be getting all the stuff attached to the frame rail straight and true. That's the main reason my templates included the shackle eye hanger spot.

Thanks for the comps! Excited to see it come together myself.

Since making the decision not to narrow the front of the frame, I've run through all the consequences in my mind and discussed some with Jesse.

The worst of them being the possibility of rubbing the tire on the steering box.

Simplest solution, I think i'm going to use a steering box from the 88-98 model Chevy trucks. Nice benefit is they already have the sector shaft we need for the crossover and should just about be in the exact same spot had I narrowed the frame in the front.

Oh that's nice!

Thanks.

Ya know, I could have sworn I posted those last two pictures the other day. And then they weren't there.

That's happened a couple times lately. Senility or two many places for posting pictures...
