80's short box, "S.E.R.E." Box permanently attached to the cab.

oooh, intercooler clearance. :D

yep, intercooler is going in upside down....I think, not 100% certain how it was in the dodge but it has some rubber feet that seem to make sense if they were on the bottom. We're gona put them on the top and use them a little differently. Keeps the intercooler up as high as it can go in the core support. We'll do something different for the support underneath. Hope to have that all mocked up but might not have much time for it tomorrow.

I probably have some, but I'd have to dig through the snow. What year radiator support?

Martin

For the record, its a mid 80s. rompstompinmudmonkey is looking for a set for me as well. He's gona try and scrounge up a set over the weekend.

I believe Chris said the Dodge intercooler fits pretty good when flipped...of course your getting a little away from stock, but that's what I planned on doing as well.

oh and this tubing sleeve is a nice touch!...I'll have to remember that!

Just seemed a lot of strength was taken away from the core support with a big hole. Had just picked up some 4" exhaust tubing from Brett so might as well use a couple chunks.

agreed, I feel I'll be doing some serious mods to mine as well...my stock 76 is in good shape, so I bought a rusty prototype for a Jackson to work with for mods until I get it the way I feel is best, then do the mods to the original.

That's a good plan. Mine has the typical rust.

These little deals here worked out pretty nice. The rubber snubbers on what is generally the bottom of the cooler project up into these tubes. These will prevent the cooler from wobbling forward and backward.

First tube mocked up.

Looks pretty good. Are you planning to extend the inlet/outlet to get the hoses on easier? I

Looks great Kert
I think my intercooler might be a bit different but I think the same mounting may work for mine too!

I think we can attach the hose piece to the intercooler before we put it in place. The the half that attaches to the tubing is pretty easy to get to.

We keep all those files so let me know if you want to try this bracketry.

Good to know
I'll have to make a few measurements for comparison

special thanks to, rompinstompinmudmonkey. My AC condenser is mounted and with that being done, I know I have 4" between the intercooler and the condenser. Perfect spot to squeeze in an power steering cooler and trans cooler. That'll be done tomorrow.

Got a sweet little plan unfolding for the plumbing of these two smaller coolers. Should be pretty clean
