Well, I discovered a major setback to the project yesterday. Drove past the the upholstery shop and noticed its totally cleared out, no one answers the phones. Not sure what is going on at the moment. Left a voice mail, will call a few more times this week I guess and hope someone at least can tell me if they went out of business or what happened.

Approx. $650 worth of supplies gone

On a more positive note, we ended up getting our puppy way sooner than planned. Also had another successful autocross trip with the Blazer hauling the Mini.

That sucks. Im really tempted to just buy a used commercial sewing machine off of fb or Craigslist and doing the canvas myself.

I just finished reading this build. Really enjoyed all the camper details.
Can't wait to see how the new inside layout looks (if your still gonna do it that way).
Keep at it, pretty soon you'll be using the camper!

Hey all!

Its been a long while since I have been on the site or working on the camper.

I am strongly considering listing the camper for sale as is. I have a ton of extra parts to finish out the build. Just have not had time to work on it. Due to some life changes, its not really going to get the use I originally had intended.

Will probably be posting it for sale on here, FWC FB group, maybe FB market place.

That is tough question, been thinking about it. Don't see many for sale for a reference. I know I won't get anything close to what I have spent purchasing it and on materials so far.

Would be interested in hearing from the group in what they think it is worth.

Am I crazy thinking 3500-4000 as a starting point? Everyone wants to haggle and knock off a few bucks no matter the starting point.

I paid $2,000 for the rotted out camper I started with.

Here’s the problem, your rotted out camper was complete and could swap on. The price then was pretty consistent. Now while the camper now is partially done, it’s still not complete in one usable unit. What you’ve done is value added for sure. The problem is not many are capable of putting it back together. People may not want to pay the higher price if they have to put it together.

Just one way to look at it. If I didn’t just buy a truck I’d be interested to buy the bones, swap the roof and canvas to mine and take my stuff to refurbish and put back on yours.
