81 k5 LSX swap: haggard paint job

Filled this haggard hole inside of the driver side A pillar where a real life ACTUAL genius decided to drill the shittiest hole for a spot light. The passenger side is next!
Oh, I also took out the old busted windshield to make installing a new dash easier.

I haven't really had any extra cash to throw at this thing, so I figure I'd go though and take care of some of the rusty spots. I'll have the interior out of it in the next week or so. This is the sad state of the passenger side door. The rocker panel is roached and will be getting replaced for sure! I'm working on a patch for the hole in the A Pillar.

This truck will never be straight and pretty, but I hope to make it solid!

I feel your pain on the rust, but you have sweet rig. Its getting better with each small piece down. To bad it seems like whack-a-mole, take one down and two more popup. Keep rockin on we're all pullin for you:saweet:. Nice harleys

Thanks a bunch dude! Yeah, those are also my babies!

I almost have My passenger side A pillar fixed up, I took off the top, took out the seats, gave it a quick vacuum job! The Carpet is in good shape (my fat dog approves) and I will be taking it out in a day or so.
I guess I'll really see what I'm working with! Fingers crossed it's nothing too terrible.

I have a small spot behind the driver side rear fender and the passenger side rocker panel. Other than that the floor of this thing is excellent!! I'm so relieved!

Even the driver and passenger side B pillar where it meets up with the floor is solid! Just a little dark surface rust! Nothing a little elbow grease and rust converter won't fix!

My girlfriends dad hooked me up with some doors and a front bumper off of an army truck he had laying around. Even though my truck was equipped with power windows I just might opt to use the manual wind up mechanisms that are in these doors (given if they are in good condition) I'm going to use the guts out of my doors to put in these. They are 100 times better than mine! Way more solid!

Just read through the build, nice blazer can't wait to see you get it back on the road!

Also just google truck-lite 1313A when you're ready to replace the clearance lights. Those are complete factory replacements with the rubber base and new screws as well.

Good lookin out man! Yeah I've got a little ways to go before I'm driving it! I could blow my tax return on it and be driving it within a month but I'm trying to be an adult! Hahaha

I'll get some more pics, I got my inner rocker replaced on the passenger side and I'm doing some mega shitty quick preparation to shoot some paint on this thing! Stay tuned! I haven't given up yet

Looking good! This is the part I'm on with mine. What did you end up doing for the inner rocker? I got the replacement panel and it doesn't work with out hacking the shit out of it.

Man my buddy and I ended up just making one on his brake! It worked flawlessly. And required way less effort than trying to use the crap ones from LMC

I th

ink that's my next option.
Dude if I had the brake at my house I'd make you a set! I was thinking about it earlier and I wondered if I bought a brake and started making these suckers would people actually buy them? I did make that one thread though that gave away the dimensions of the ones I made just to help folks out! But not everyone has easy access to a brake! I'm lucky.
