82 th400/205 vs a 87 th400/205

i was just going to use JKW twin stick. thanks

Youll have to modify the JKW sticks to work too. They use the same pivot at the stock shifter and after rotating the case up the shift rails are no longer "below" the pivot point. They are now above the pivot point of the lever.

easier to upgrade with later. You can put a ford 205 behind it if you go hi-pinion ford 60. You can get a lowmax 205 housing with a direct swap.
The lomax case has both the figure 8 and round patterns drilled and tapped
Yeah, I'm aware of that. Just simpler and easier to just bolt the pieces together than to redrill for holes, etc.
There is no need to re-drill any holes for the doubler. But the roundpattern 205 would need an input shaft if you were going with an ORD or NWF doubler kit. (sumner machine can make a doubler kit to work with the long 32-spline input)
So modify the ****ing shifter you dumb ****:angry1:. If you can modify an clocking ring and Tcase adapter I am sure 2 linkages are not going to be the deal breaker.

You stated "You'd have to buy high dollar NWF cable shifters" and my post was to say it is possible to use the stock stuff not dump a few hundred on cable shifters:rolleyes:

That time of the month? No need to jump down the guy's throat

well, we will be doing this in about 2 weeks. all we need is the twin sticks to get here and a free day to do it. im pretty sure we will get it.

For some reason I thought it was only 6 round and therefor wouldn't work with my doubler plate. Just looked again and it is Fig 8 too. Maybe the first models were 6 only or I'm just crazy. Now the possibilities for 6:1 doubler for me :D
