'83 K5 6.2L Diesel 64" rear springs. 3/4 ton axles. rear discs. Boring but works!

Kinda funny but the first thing getting moved up to idaho is the old blazer. Headed out to the sister in law's a few hrs north for tonight then up to idaho in the morning to check things out and drop the blazer off at my new work til I move up in a few weeks.

Hey where at I'm gonna be in Rexburg all day tomorrow.

Small update. Drove the blazer in the snow for the first time and it pretty much went how I thought it would. The rear brakes lock up first so if I'm not real. careful the back end wants to pass the front. I think I will swap lines on the master and use some adapters and see if it will help otherwise I'll Have to plumb in my adjustable prop valve and turn down the rear brakes. Also the four wheel drive will just fall out of 4hi when driving. I cut the rubber boot and that didn't help. Ended up taping it back to the console with a roll of electrical tape to get to work. I hope I can just adjust the linkage and its not an internal issue in the tcase. Prob won't get much done for a while. It's "real" winter here and my extra large garage only has a 7 foot door. Plus I have other vehicles that need attention first.

Ok, I gotta say it ,

Do ya miss Moab yet?

:haha:
Some stuff I do miss. Like the wheeling and the weather. But we like it so far up here. Definitely nice living near stores and other stuff that we had to drive 2 hrs to get to before. Can't wait to buy a house with a heated shop though.

Well I found out the old diesel hates idaho winter already. We have low teens with lows in the negatives and it has set at my work for two days and now it doesn't want to run. I killed the batteries and I may have burned up the starter. I'll put it on a charger tomorrow and plug in the block heater and hope it turns out good. I sure hope it does cuz this happened to my other ride tonight. Pretty sure it's worse than it looks.

My starter barely cranks over now. Ordered a gear reduction style starter and bracket off Amazon. With 2 day shipping it's about the same cost as an OEM replacement from napa. Also found these in stock at my local AutoZone. @nutt7

Hopefully swapping lines on the MC and rebleeding the brakes will get the fronts to lock up before the rears in the snow.

Damn man sorry to hear about rough start there so far. Hoping things turn around for you real quick.
